Stamping Experimentations . . .

I took a much needed break from doing the layouts and article writing for Dandy-Lion and started doing some experimentation's with the stamping of the titles. Looking at different papers and fabrics to stamp on to, as well as using a different sizes of letter stamp.

It is something that I intended to do after completing the stamped titles for the Media Pack, as these pages were A5 and the publications pages are going to be A4 the titles need to fill the space, and I didn't think the smaller stamps would do this. I borrowed some bigger stamps from a friend and experimented with using just the big stamps, the small and then mixing the two together, which proved the most successful (see sketch book). I tried the chosen combination on one of the finished pages from the magazine and it looks really good. I discussed this with Tony during my tutorial and he said about mixing it up a bit; having some pages with small stamped lettering and then others with the sizes mixed up.

Following the success of the stamping I have invested in a set of my own larger stamps, and am going to do some more experimentation's once they arrive, I just need to try and find a heart stamp which I have yet to be successful in finding.
