I got the idea for this feature from the home management books Anne showed me, I wanted to have some more imagery in the publication that is my own, as the majority of the product pages are all taken from the internet, plus it has given me the chance to do some much needed baking. Below are the images that I've chosen to go into the publication. I'm really happy with the images they came out a lot better than I was expecting, and they look really good in the layout of the page.
Step one - Cream the sugar and margarine in to a bowl, you may need to soften it slightly in the microwave for a few seconds.
Step two - Sieve in the flour, adding the egg and vanilla essence.
Step three - Beat until well combined. Add a drop of milk if it’s looking a little stiff.
Step four - Pour the mixture into a greased tin, use a rubber spatula to get all of the mixture out of the bowl. Cook for 35 minutes at 190 degrees.
Step five - Check the cakes cooked by inserting a knife into the centre, if it comes out clean its done, if not put it back in the oven for 10 minutes on a lower heat.
